Locking Slides for an Australian RV Builder
We developed a side-mount locking slide with an internal trigger catch. The lock is engaged automatically when the drawer closes and is released by pressing a paddle at the back of the drawer box, keeping the exterior fascia completely clean.
To survive vibration we added a secondary ball-retainer bridge and increased the number of active ball bearings in the loaded zone. The lock cam was switched from zinc alloy to glass-filled nylon, which eliminated the galling that had caused inconsistent release.
Plating was upgraded to a 96-hour salt-spray zinc-nickel system, and every batch is tested for coating thickness before dispatch. We also supplied a spare lock-cam kit and an illustrated service guide so the customer's after-sales team can maintain the units.
