Samples Before Mass Production

Every tooled project runs through a validated sample before mass production starts - typically ready in 5-7 business days, with sample cost and tooling confirmed in writing up front.

How Sampling Runs

Four steps from your requirement to a sample you can sign off in writing.

  1. Share your requirements

    Send the drawing (or an existing sample), the expected order quantity and your target delivery date. Stock-series enquiries can start from the model number alone.

  2. Technical review

    Engineering reviews manufacturability - material, process and the verification the sample needs - and confirms what is required before a sample quotation is issued.

  3. Sample quotation

    Sample cost and any tooling are stated on the sample quotation, so you see the full figure before anything is made. No work starts without your approval.

  4. Build & validate

    The tooled sample is produced and validated with load and dimensional checks - typically ready in 5-7 business days - for your written sign-off.

What we need from you

The more of this you can share, the faster the technical review.

  • Drawing or existing sample - dimensions, hole pattern and mounting arrangement; a photo of a current slide works for matching enquiries
  • Target load and closed length - or the application the slide has to serve
  • Material and finish - cold-rolled steel with zinc or black plating is standard; other finishes are quoted
  • Expected order quantity - it decides whether the sample leads into a stock-series order or a tooled project
  • Target delivery date - so the sample schedule is planned against your program, not ours

  • Sample cost and tooling are itemised on the sample quotation before production - feasibility, cost and timing all depend on the drawing, material, process and required verification
  • Stock-series samples can usually be scheduled straight away; new tooling is quoted on its own line
  • Validation covers load and dimensional checks against the agreed specification

After your sign-off

The sample is the gate between engineering and production - nothing runs without it.

When does mass production start?

Only after your written confirmation of the sample. Until then the project stays in the sample stage, even if tooling is complete.

What if the sample needs changes?

Revisions are quoted against the same sample quotation process, so cost and timing stay transparent before anything is re-tooled or re-made.

Do re-orders go through sampling again?

No. Approved items repeat on the same schedule without re-sampling - re-orders of approved configurations ship in 7-15 days from receipt of deposit.
